This privacy notice explains who we are, what personal data we collect about you, why we collect it and what we do with it. For the purposes of this privacy statement, by personal data we mean any information, or a set of information that can directly or indirectly identify you, such as your name, email address or telephone number. 

Aviko B.V. (“Aviko”) considers the privacy and data protection of customers and visitors who acquire information via the website to be important. Aviko has therefore taken the necessary organizational and technical protective measures to protect your personal data and complies with the requirements of personal data protection legislation. All data that Aviko gathers for the provision of our products or services is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming), which will come into force throughout the EU as of 25 May 2018. 

In this Privacy notice we want to make sure that it is clear to you which personal data Aviko processes and what happens to that data. This Privacy notice applies to all processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Aviko and provides information about our privacy policy and the technical and organizational security measures we take with regard to the personal data we may gather when you use the Aviko websites or when you contact Aviko. We may amend this Privacy notice from time to time. We publish any updates on this website, so please consult them regularly for the most recent version of our Privacy notice.

2. Which personal data do we gather? 

During your use of the Aviko websites we may gather various personal data from you. This information may be provided by you, for instance when you contact us via the contact form on the website. The data generated by your use of the website can also be gathered automatically. 

The personal data we may gather from you include: your name, salutation, e-mail address, (mobile) phone number, postal code, place, business details (employer or contact details of your employer), interests or preferences that you may provide and information about your visit to the website (such as IP address, provider , browser type, pages opened on the website, time of visit). We may also obtain certain personal data from you by using cookies. Cookies are text files that the browser 'remembers' and stores on your computer at the request of the website. With the help of a cookie, which acts as a memory aid, the website can remember certain information so that it does not have to be entered again. 

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is usually transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Within EU Member States or in other member states of the European Economic Area, Google will shorten your IP address before transmitting it if IP anonymization is activated on this website.

In doing so, Google will use the Standard Contractual Clauses (SSC’s) as the basis for data transfers from the EU to the US to provide appropriate data protection safeguards. SCC’s are approved by the European Commission and cannot be modified by the parties using the SCC’s. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for the website operator and providing other services for the website operator relating to website activity and internet usage.  Google may also transfer this data to third parties if this is required by law or if these parties process the data on behalf of Google. If these parties are located in countries where there is no adequate level of protection according to European standards, the SCC’s will again be used. Google will not associate your browser's IP address, transmitted for Google Analytics purposes, with any other data held by Google.

3. Why do we gather your personal data? 

We mainly gather your personal data in the interests of the usual business practices of Aviko. We may also use your personal data for the sale of our products and for the provision of our services, including the financial processing thereof. We may also use your data to provide you with information and to maintain our relationship with you. Your data may also be used for internal visitor analyses in order to further optimize the website. Your personal data may also be required for our own internal administrative purposes, accounting audits and to comply with legal obligations. Your personal data will only be used for the purposes mentioned and described above or for purposes that are compatible with them. Aviko gathers your personal data either on the basis of your consent, or because the data is necessary for concluding an agreement, or because it has a legitimate interest as set out in this Privacy notice or because it is legally obliged to do so. 

4. Who has access to your personal data? 

Your data will only be used to the extent necessary and then only for or on behalf of Aviko by employees or other personnel designated by Aviko or when Aviko will be legally obliged to do so. This includes personnel from all group companies or external parties insofar as these parties process data on behalf of Aviko for the purposes stated by Aviko, like service providers (IT companies) and business partners (media agencies and/or marketing consultants. Aviko requires these external parties to take the same strict security measures as it has taken to protect your personal data. Insofar as your personal data are transferred outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"), the legal requirements for such data transfer are met. With the exception of making your personal data available to the aforementioned parties, Aviko will not make your personal data available to third parties unless it is required to do so to meet its legal obligations. 

5. How do we protect your personal data? 

Aviko continually takes appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, deletion, disclosure and improper use, and to monitor the accuracy and integrity of your personal data. These measures are regularly evaluated and updated where necessary. 

6. How long do we retain your personal data? 

Aviko will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes stated in this Privacy notice. If Aviko processes personal data on the basis of your consent, then you can always revoke this consent. Data that you provide to us with the aim of obtaining information from us is used by us once-only in order to carry out your information request. For statistical purposes, Aviko may store your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary, but it will take additional technical and organizational measures to ensure the principle of data minimization. 

7. How can you exercise your rights? 

If you have questions about the processing of your personal data by Aviko or if you want to view your personal data that Aviko has processed or have it deleted, corrected or changed, or if you want a data portability or to object to the processing or invoke your right to restriction of processing, you can contact Aviko via the contact form on the website. In principle, Aviko will respond to your request within one month.  

If you have a complaint about the processing of personal data by or on behalf of Aviko, you can submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). 

8. Use of cookies 
Aviko uses cookies when offering its services. This is a small, simple file with data that is either stored on the hard disk of your computer or in the session of your browser. In our Cookie statement you can read all about the use of cookies by Aviko. 

9. Links to other websites 

Our website contains links to websites of group companies as well as links to non-Aviko websites. The websites of group companies may contain different, specific privacy terms and conditions. In addition, external non-Aviko websites may use different privacy rules. It is your responsibility to pay attention and check this before making information available to these websites. Aviko is not responsible for the privacy rules that apply on external websites.

It is in your interest to be aware of any changes to the privacy and information security policy of Aviko. We publish these changes on this page. If we amend this notice then we will bring this to your attention via hyperlinks. 

Requests can be made by clicking on the contact link on the website that forwarded you to this Privacy notice or publishes this notice. Alternatively, send an email to GDPR@aviko.com by indicating your country and how you’ve been in touch with Aviko.  

We may decline requests if we cannot verify your identity, your request is unreasonable or unspecific or in case your request jeopardizes the privacy of others. We will reply to you anyhow within four weeks.
